"Never let your sense of morals prevent you from doing what is right." - Isaac Asimov
Finally! Meaningful progress has been made on the dialog. The conflict scene at the end has custom dialog options for each character and different endings depending on which tool is selected when entering the dialog. The game may have a rough start but at least I know the narrative can develop towards the end.
To kick start my writing, I used a DND character trait generator. I just penciled in the alignment of the characters and picked out a few traits that matched well. Once I put these together for each character in the design document, I was able to rationalize around how each character might interact with our main character. This might be a cheesy or weird way to do it but it helped me get something down at least.
This week has not gone as well as I hoped, due to my laziness but also some outside forces affecting my house hold that shall go unnamed. It seems I'll need to ride it out until the finish. The goal is to get this play testable by end-of-day tomorrow and have a friend take a look. Based on their feedback, it will be time for final tweaks and audio.
Till next time!
